6 Years Later.

6 Years Later.

Hey guys! I have so much to update & this blog post will be exactly that. Whenever major life changes or events happen in my life, for the past 6 years I love to go back to my original Blogspot blogging roots to update y'all on what's going on. It's crazy to think my young adult content creating journey started on a Blogspot blog when I was 19 years old with absolutely no idea with how much this blog would evolve.

I knew eventually that being a local influencer would be something I'd want to do someday but to think that I'm being categorized as one still blows my mind. Last night, I got invited by one of my favorite local boutiques to sit with them & represent the boutique in the audience of a exclusive local fashion show. If someone had told 2018 me this, I would have thought you were insane because I always dreamed of getting a opportunity to go to an event like that!

I was absolutely overwhelmed in the best way possible by how much fun this event truly was and let's not forget how the clothes were SO CUTE! Going to a fashion show has definitely been something on my bucket list for YEARS and to finally say I went to one is crazy! I am also attending ANOTHER FASHION SHOW next weekend with the same boutique, and I am super excited!

Earlier this year, really tough times led me to wanting to create a positive community for the women of my city and that's when Navigating Corpus Christi was born. I can't even tell y'all that during the tough times how much that group has changed my life for the better and I'm so proud of myself for stepping out of my comfort zone to create a community like NCC.

In the past couple of jobs, I've had the thing I like the most about them is the Community Outreach aspect of them. I love being the one responsible for creating a positive community together and as well as my passion for social media, I also had a passion for Community Outreach.

Starting next month, I will be taking on a new job position that is founded on creating a positive community and I cannot be more excited!

Do not be afraid to follow your dreams even when you are down. Keeping this positive energy through these tough times has now led me to the biggest blessings of my life!

Cheers to the beginning of an exciting new era!

8 Years of Content Creating. I haven't celebrated a blogging anniversary in a really long time, but I was looking back on when I started this blog and how long it has been, it absolutely blew my mind. I wish I could tell that lonely & confused 19-year-old me that at almost 28 years old, she is living most of the content creating dream she has always wanted. Thank y'all for being on this ride for 8 years <3 Instagram: @jessicanicoledeleon Podcast: It's A BOP! with Jess on Spotify

Making Fall Fashion Cute in a Coastal City

Making Fall Fashion Cute in a Coastal City Hey guys! Today we will be doing a fashion themed post & today's theme is making fall fashion cute but if you live in a southern coastal city where it is still 90 degrees outside. I feel like there is not enough recognition for coastal falls, especially in fashion so today, we are going to get realistic about fall fashion while it is still 90 degrees outside. Neutrals Go with EVERYTHING! No matter if you are doing a tank top and shorts look or even a sweater with jeans (if you risk being sweaty after the fact), neutrals are a GO TO for every season but mostly for fall. Lean towards your black, white, & even like an oatmeal type of neutral colored clothing & focus on those when building your coastal fall wardrobe. Neutral Outfit Inspo from Pinterest Tube Tops with Light Cardigans Whether you are wearing the tube top with shorts or jeans, if you really want to channel that fall look or even if you are going somewhere indoors wher...

How 2025 Became My Best Year Yet & 26 Goals for 2026

How 2025 Became My Best Year Yet & 26 Goals for 2026 Outfit Details: Top: Abercrombie & Fitch Shorts: Nordstrom Hey guys! I know I have been MIA from the blog for a while (most of the year actually) but I went MIA for very good reasons!  2025 has been full of blessings and amazing memories. As we start goal setting for 2026, I want to recap how 2025 became my best year yet and how going into 2026, I am feeling such a fresh mindset and this positive momentum we had in 2025 will in fact continue in 2026. I want to continue to be a positive force within not only myself but also for the people around me as well. 2025 became the year I have been longing for since I stepped into this crazy world of adulthood at 18 years old and that is, working full time in marketing/social media. Within the company I have worked for the past 2 1/2 years, this past June I switched departments from Membership/Recruitment to full on Marketing which if you have been following me for a while has been...
