A Week in the Summer 2020 Life of Jess - Spontaneous Port A Trips & A HURRICANE?!

Hey guys! Who would have thought the week I'd do a "Week in the Life" post that it would be the CRAZIEST week of my whole summer so far??? Anyways! I wanted to do a "Week in the Life" post because I hadn't truly done one for this summer! I updated it every single day with what I did & everything. This summer is definitely different from others I've had in the past! I hope y'all enjoyed today's post & let me know if y'all want to see more posts like these! I had a lot of fun doing this post!

Hey guys! So today is my OFFICIAL first day of this "Week in my Summer 2020" life! Today is pretty much a lazy day for me as I get some blogging done (I actually typed up my previous post right now), catch up on some school work, & simply just take it easy & relax!

My mom is off for the whole week starting on Tuesday & we've got some fun things planned all while staying safe & social distancing because COVID19 still unfortunately is present! We've got to make the most out of our situations though right?

Happy Monday everyone!! I started off my week strong by going to one of my favorite local parks & even a little mini photoshoot was involved (shoutout to my friend Mari)!! It was so nice being by the water & simply enjoying the beautiful view! Most of the real busy & well known parks in my city are closed due to COVID19 so it felt good to know South Bay was still open so I can enjoy this BEAUTIFUL VIEW!

We were the only people there too for the most part which was super nice & enjoyable. I'm now home & drinking a nice & cool sonic slush!

Hey guys! Not much has happened today! I went swimming & then I relaxed the whole entire day. I love going to the pool, especially when it's SUPER HOT outside (I may sound completely insane but the pool in 100 degree weather is TOP NOTCH)!

TODAY WAS A ADVENTURE! I went to the Island for lunch & then Port A for some tourist shopping & spending some quality time on the beach. We did have a low tire pressure scare in-between our whole adventure & thought we were going to be stranded in Port A but THANKFULLY we got everything fixed & afterwards we walked to the beach & enjoyed a cold DQ Oreo Blizzard. I'm so happy too because for lunch I finally had fried fish from my favorite local seafood restaurant Snoopy's which I've been CRAVING since March.. it was well worth the wait!

Happy 10 Year Anniversary One Direction! Congrats Demi Lovato on getting engaged! Surprise Taylor Swift album coming out tonight?! 1 year since I've seen Shawn Mendes live?! This is truly the greatest day on the internet!

I'm wearing my new tee I got from Port Aransas yesterday (of course it's tie dye because that's kind of been my thing lately lol)! I just got home from sunbathing & now I am catching up on blogging & my online course I'm doing. SO MUCH HAPPINESS IS IN THE AIR TODAY! HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY GUYS!!

This was taken over near the TAMUCC area the day before Hurricane Hanna made landing in my area! The clouds already look crazy!

Also, Check out these SUPER CUTE shorts I got from H&M!!

So Saturday, July 25, 2020, Hurricane Hanna made landing in my city! This picture was taken at 8:00am because my mom was WILD & made me go with her downtown to see the waves already come up before the storm & you can tell by the picture above that water is already starting to come up at one of our T-Heads! I got iced coffee & a Whataburger BOB out of the whole drive so that was good & then we spent ALL SATURDAY watching the hurricane & the local news broadcast for 10 hours straight! The only true damage that happened was downtown & at Bob Hall Pier on the island (RIP to the end of Bob Hall Pier).

Sunday, I was EXHAUSTED from the stress of the hurricane & pretty much slept the whole day! I finally did see The Kissing Booth 2 & all I got to say is, MARCO DESERVED BETTER!!!

8 Years of Content Creating. I haven't celebrated a blogging anniversary in a really long time, but I was looking back on when I started this blog and how long it has been, it absolutely blew my mind. I wish I could tell that lonely & confused 19-year-old me that at almost 28 years old, she is living most of the content creating dream she has always wanted. Thank y'all for being on this ride for 8 years <3 Instagram: @jessicanicoledeleon Podcast: It's A BOP! with Jess on Spotify

Making Fall Fashion Cute in a Coastal City

Making Fall Fashion Cute in a Coastal City Hey guys! Today we will be doing a fashion themed post & today's theme is making fall fashion cute but if you live in a southern coastal city where it is still 90 degrees outside. I feel like there is not enough recognition for coastal falls, especially in fashion so today, we are going to get realistic about fall fashion while it is still 90 degrees outside. Neutrals Go with EVERYTHING! No matter if you are doing a tank top and shorts look or even a sweater with jeans (if you risk being sweaty after the fact), neutrals are a GO TO for every season but mostly for fall. Lean towards your black, white, & even like an oatmeal type of neutral colored clothing & focus on those when building your coastal fall wardrobe. Neutral Outfit Inspo from Pinterest Tube Tops with Light Cardigans Whether you are wearing the tube top with shorts or jeans, if you really want to channel that fall look or even if you are going somewhere indoors wher...

How 2025 Became My Best Year Yet & 26 Goals for 2026

How 2025 Became My Best Year Yet & 26 Goals for 2026 Outfit Details: Top: Abercrombie & Fitch Shorts: Nordstrom Hey guys! I know I have been MIA from the blog for a while (most of the year actually) but I went MIA for very good reasons!  2025 has been full of blessings and amazing memories. As we start goal setting for 2026, I want to recap how 2025 became my best year yet and how going into 2026, I am feeling such a fresh mindset and this positive momentum we had in 2025 will in fact continue in 2026. I want to continue to be a positive force within not only myself but also for the people around me as well. 2025 became the year I have been longing for since I stepped into this crazy world of adulthood at 18 years old and that is, working full time in marketing/social media. Within the company I have worked for the past 2 1/2 years, this past June I switched departments from Membership/Recruitment to full on Marketing which if you have been following me for a while has been...
