Twitter Followed Me on Twitter?!

Hey guys! This post was completely unplanned so now I'm just going to type & ramble about my life right now because I haven't done that in a while considering I pre planned most of my posts from this year earlier this month. I've been working A LOT & getting my podcast started & running so my blogging has been super limited but today I'm going to tell y'all a little short story that's freaking insane.

So yesterday my Twitter notifications were BLOWING UP & I was super confused. I had gotten out of work & not checked my phone for several hours so these notifications definitely caught me on guard. 

I had TOTALLY forgotten that Twitter's social media team contacted me a few weeks ago about using my tweet that said, "I want a refund on my 2020 planner". If we are completely honest, I literally have no memory of tweeting this & basically what I meant by 2020 planner was my notes app with all of my concert dates written down HAHA. In 2019, I tried to do the whole planner thing & I only used it for a month! I just organize a lot better when it's on my phone!

ANYWAYS!! Twitter's social media team contacted me about wanting to use my tweet for promo. They had reached out to several people about using their "2020 sucks" themed tweets for promo. I've had ABC contact me SO MANY TIMES about using my Bachelor tweets for promo & it never happens so when I got contacted, I agreed because why not? I didn't think what was going to happen next was actually gonna happen.

So I got out of work yesterday to a lot of accounts following me & a bunch of tweets in my mention. I didn't realize what was happening till I ran into a tweet from a account which I have no idea what the purpose of this account was or why they said it but basically the tweet said, "@Twitter is following @jessnicole997".

I had to take a double take like WHAAAT??? At first I thought Twitter following me was because I think I had quoted a tweet from a girl who got Twitter's follow saying how cool it was but no, it was not from that. It was from my basically "2020 sucks & I want a refund from it" tweet. I got the official notification where it said Twitter was following me & it was very much real & I still think it's the most wild thing to happen to me. I'll insert a pic of the notification I got!

This year was not it but this notification was very much real. What's even crazier that Twitter only follows 24 people & I'M ONE OF THEM LIKE WHAT???? That's freaking insane!! Twitter has been a huge part of my life since I was 13 & Twitter will always remain my favorite social media app. If you check out my Podcast, "It's A BOP! with Jess" (on Spotify), I explain how Twitter basically shaped me into the person I am today.

Now, I'm done talking about this. I wanna slide into their DMs so badly but I don't know what to say HAHA! Now, I'm going to truly relax for the first time in days & watch Excuse Me, I Love You & reminisce about the time I went to the Sweetener Tour. TAKE ME BACK!!
