Serious #SummerLife & Blog Update.

Hey guys!! So today's post is going to be a serious & major #SummerLife & Blog Update because I've really thought about this for a while & a lot of changes will be happening, so I will be explaining what changes are happening with this blog & my content in general. For those that have been reading since 2017, this is mainly for y'all.

I started this blog in 2017 when I was 19 years old as a fashion, beauty, & music blog because I really wanted to go that fashion blogging route. There were times where my fashion blogging was successful & times where it wasn't as successful & financially, I couldn't go down the fashion blogging route forever because fashion blogging is very expensive.

When I found out I couldn't do a strictly fashion blog, I went into lifestyle blogging & I ended up loving going that lifestyle blogging route. Since discovering more lifestyle content, I really lost the true purpose & identity of what this blog was truly about & why I was even doing it in the first place. Blogging has been part of my routine for over 4 years & I know this year, I haven't been as active as I usually was in the past just strictly, because I was having a blog identity crisis.

The blog posts I was truly feeling the most passionate about were the award show themed posts, award show predicting, & award show reviews. I know I could easily make my podcast (It's A BOP! with Jess) all about that, but with my podcast, I never wanted it to be about one topic because I saw with my blog that wasn't successful. I need to have some variety.

I want to have variety with my podcast while also, diving into award show predicting & nomination thoughts. I tried recently doing a VMAs Predictions podcast episode & I just wasn't 100% happy with  how it turned out & it just took away the authentic side of reading the predictions. I'm doing more research into maybe moving my blog to a different blogging platform (a little more updated) & make it JUST strictly about predictions & nomination thoughts so I don't feel pressured to do both all of the time.

I'm looking into websites like Word Press & Wix to move all of those posts over so it's all on one platform. That will be out within the next month or so! I want to hopefully launch it with VMAs Nomination Thoughts & my VERY EARLY Grammys predictions. I have a super busy schedule honestly starting next week so this project will definitely take a while to launch. Once I have the link to the new blog, I will definitely let y'all know!

This blog is not being deleted & on the new blog, I will link all of my past award show themed posts so newer readers can go back & truly see how long I've been doing these kind of posts. I'm also teaching myself graphic & web design so I can really make the new blog everything I've ever wanted it to be. I want to be satisfied with how my content looks!

The Blogspot phase of my life will always hold a special place in my heart & I'm grateful I made the decision to start this blog because I truly have learned so much about myself as a person & as a content creator.

For the audience I want to reach, going in the direction of the podcast & making a whole blog on the posts I'm truly passionate about will really benefit me mentally.

I also have a whole other career ahead of me that I'm working on too & this is just all strictly a hobby so having the balance of the whole other blog will be a lot better for how busy I'll be starting next week & then when concerts come back, I'll be even more busy!
