My 2018 Grammy Nomination Thoughts Part 1

So Grammy nominations came out today which I always get super excited about because the Grammy's are my favorite award show. It use to be the VMA's but the past 2 years haven't been wild enough for me so I'm going to now say that the Grammy's are my favorite lol. I thought I would talk about how I feel about each of the main nominations & others I care about.

Record Of The Year:
Redbone by Childish Gambino
Despacito by Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee, & Justin Bieber
The Story Of OJ by Jay-Z
Humble by Kendrick Lamar
24K Magic by Bruno Mars

Out of all of these I want Humble to win just because I love Kendrick Lamar so much & this past album he put out was soooo good. I'm kind of upset about this category cause I was really hoping Shape Of You or I Feel It Coming was going to be on here. Both of those songs deserved to be on there!

Album Of The Year:
Awaken My Love by Childish Gambino
4:44 by Jay-Z
Damn by Kendrick Lamar
Melodrama by Lorde
24K Magic by Bruno Mars

Again I'd probably would want Kendrick to win because this last album he put out was so good & I still jam out to the songs on it. I'm actually very disappointed Harry's debut album didn't get nominated because that was my favorite album of 2017 & Harry's album was different & unique & that's what I loved about it.

Song Of The Year:
Despacito by Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee, & Justin Bieber
4:44 by Jay-Z
Issues by Julia Michaels
1-800-273-8255 by Logic, Alessia Cara, & Khalid
That's What I Like by Bruno Mars

Honestly 1-800 deserves the Grammy because every time I listen to that song I sob my eyes out & it's such a powerful message. If 1-800 doesn't win I'm going to be very disappointed. Honestly why wasn't that song nominated for Record Of The Year just based off of the powerful message it tells? Also I'm shook Jay-Z got nominated for so much & I haven't listened to the album but I might as well check it out to see what that hype was about.

Best New Artist:
Alessia Cara
Khalid
Julia Michaels
Lil Uzi Vert
SZA

Alessia honestly deserved this Grammy nomination years ago. THANK GOD WE ARE FINALLY GIVING HER CREDIT! Honesty I want either Alessia, Khalid, or SZA to win because they've all in the past year brought out really good music. To be honest though years ago Shawn Mendes should've been in this category JUST SAYING!

Best Pop Solo Performance:
Love So Soft by Kelly Clarkson
Praying by Kesha
Million Reasons but Lady Gaga
What About Us by Pink
Shape Of You by Ed Sheeran

Yet again Ed is being paid dust this Grammy's. I really want Ed to win but honestly if any of these female artists won I wouldn't be mad about it. Also why wasn't Demi nominated??? Realistically I think the winner is either gonna be Ed, Kesha, or Gaga. Like I said this is a really hard one to pick from.

Best Pop Duo/Group Performance:
Something Just Like This by Coldplay & The Chainsmokers
Despacito by Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee, & Justin Bieber
Thunder by Imagine Dragons
Feel It Still by Portugal The Man
Stay by Zedd & Alessia Cara

Let's talk about how these are the most overplayed songs of the year. If I had to choose a winner probably Stay or Despacito because I'm not gonna lie I was one of those people who loved Despacito when it first came out & it kind of makes me mad of how overplayed it got. I hate the song Thunder idk why it just makes me cringe so if that won I'd be mad lol.

Best Pop Vocal Album:
Kaleidoscope EP by Coldplay
Lust For Life by Lana Del Rey
Evolve by Imagine Dragons
Rainbow by Kesha
Joanne by Lady Gaga
Divide by Ed Sheeran

Harry Styles & Demi Lovato should've been nominated for this as well just saying. I really want Divide to win just because I love Ed so much. Honestly I really don't know realistically who's going to win this category. I think it's the most random group of people put together. It's going to be interesting to see who takes this award.

Making Fall Fashion Cute in a Coastal City

Making Fall Fashion Cute in a Coastal City Hey guys! Today we will be doing a fashion themed post & today's theme is making fall fashion cute but if you live in a southern coastal city where it is still 90 degrees outside. I feel like there is not enough recognition for coastal falls, especially in fashion so today, we are going to get realistic about fall fashion while it is still 90 degrees outside. Neutrals Go with EVERYTHING! No matter if you are doing a tank top and shorts look or even a sweater with jeans (if you risk being sweaty after the fact), neutrals are a GO TO for every season but mostly for fall. Lean towards your black, white, & even like an oatmeal type of neutral colored clothing & focus on those when building your coastal fall wardrobe. Neutral Outfit Inspo from Pinterest Tube Tops with Light Cardigans Whether you are wearing the tube top with shorts or jeans, if you really want to channel that fall look or even if you are going somewhere indoors wher...

How 2025 Became My Best Year Yet & 26 Goals for 2026

How 2025 Became My Best Year Yet & 26 Goals for 2026 Outfit Details: Top: Abercrombie & Fitch Shorts: Nordstrom Hey guys! I know I have been MIA from the blog for a while (most of the year actually) but I went MIA for very good reasons!  2025 has been full of blessings and amazing memories. As we start goal setting for 2026, I want to recap how 2025 became my best year yet and how going into 2026, I am feeling such a fresh mindset and this positive momentum we had in 2025 will in fact continue in 2026. I want to continue to be a positive force within not only myself but also for the people around me as well. 2025 became the year I have been longing for since I stepped into this crazy world of adulthood at 18 years old and that is, working full time in marketing/social media. Within the company I have worked for the past 2 1/2 years, this past June I switched departments from Membership/Recruitment to full on Marketing which if you have been following me for a while has been...
