My 2018 Grammy Nomination Thoughts Part 2

This is a continuation of my thoughts on the Grammy nominations this year.

Best R&B Performance
Get You by Daniel Caesar & Kali Uchis
Distraction by Kehlani
High by Ledisi
That's What I Like by Bruno Mars
The Weekend by SZA

I want Ger You, Distraction, or The Weekend to win. Honestly though I don't even know why That's What I Like is in this category. I consider that song more pop but oh well I hope one of my top choices wins.

Best R&B Song
First Began by PJ Morton
Location by Khalid
Redbone by Childish Gambino
Supermodel by SZA
That's What I Like by Bruno Mars

I really want Khalid to win this because I love him soooo much!

Best Urban Contemporary Album
Free 6LACK by 6LACK
Awaken My Love by Childish Gambino
American Teen by Khalid
Ctrl by SZA
Starboy by The Weeknd

SOOOO MANY GOOD ALBUMS TO PICK FROM THIS IS GONNA BE SO HARD! My Top 3 would have to be 6LACK, Khalid, & The Weeknd! I hope one of them wins!

Best Rap Performance
Bounce Back by Big Sean
Bodak Yellow by Cardi B
4:44 by Jay-Z
Humble by Kendrick Lamar
Bad & Boujee by Migos & Lil Uzi Vert

Out of all of these I honestly want Humble to win because that song never got old to me!

Best Rap/Sung Performance
Prblms by 6LACK
Crew by Gold Link, Brent Faiyaz, & Shy Glizzy
Family Fued by Jay-Z & Beyonce
Loyalty by Kendrick Lamar & Rihanna
Love Galore by SZA & Travis Scott

My Top 3 for this category would probably be Prblms, Loyalty. & Love Galore!

Best Contemproary Christian Music Performance/Song
Oh My Soul by Casting Crowns
Clean by Natalie Grant
What A Beautiful Name by Hillsong Worship
Even If by MercyMe
Hills & Valleys by Tauren Wells

I really want Hills & Valleys to win but Tauren is real under appreciated & realistically someone like MercyMe is probably gonna win.

Best Contemporary Christian Music Album
Rise by Danny Gokey
Echoes by Matt Maher
Lifer by MercyMe
Hills & Valleys by Tauren Wells
Chain Breaker by Zach Williams

All of these artists are really good & I'm actually very impressed they picked more Contemporary Christian artists for this category & not just worship artists. My Top favorites for this are Danny & Tauren because they both put out exceptional music this year!

I haven't celebrated a blogging anniversary in a really long time, but I was looking back on when I started this blog and how long it has been, it absolutely blew my mind. Making Fall Fashion Cute in a Coastal City

Making Fall Fashion Cute in a Coastal City Hey guys! Today we will be doing a fashion themed post & today's theme is making fall fashion cute but if you live in a southern coastal city where it is still 90 degrees outside. I feel like there is not enough recognition for coastal falls, especially in fashion so today, we are going to get realistic about fall fashion while it is still 90 degrees outside. Neutrals Go with EVERYTHING! No matter if you are doing a tank top and shorts look or even a sweater with jeans (if you risk being sweaty after the fact), neutrals are a GO TO for every season but mostly for fall. Lean towards your black, white, & even like an oatmeal type of neutral colored clothing & focus on those when building your coastal fall wardrobe. Neutral Outfit Inspo from Pinterest Tube Tops with Light Cardigans Whether you are wearing the tube top with shorts or jeans, if you really want to channel that fall look or even if you are going somewhere indoors wher...

How 2025 Became My Best Year Yet & 26 Goals for 2026

How 2025 Became My Best Year Yet & 26 Goals for 2026 Outfit Details: Top: Abercrombie & Fitch Shorts: Nordstrom Hey guys! I know I have been MIA from the blog for a while (most of the year actually) but I went MIA for very good reasons!  2025 has been full of blessings and amazing memories. As we start goal setting for 2026, I want to recap how 2025 became my best year yet and how going into 2026, I am feeling such a fresh mindset and this positive momentum we had in 2025 will in fact continue in 2026. I want to continue to be a positive force within not only myself but also for the people around me as well. 2025 became the year I have been longing for since I stepped into this crazy world of adulthood at 18 years old and that is, working full time in marketing/social media. Within the company I have worked for the past 2 1/2 years, this past June I switched departments from Membership/Recruitment to full on Marketing which if you have been following me for a while has been...
