Influenced - Marshall's Finds & Affordable Places I Like To Shop At

Influenced - Marshall's Finds & Affordable Places I Like To Shop At So I recently went to Marshall's this past Sunday & I rarely shop there but I always hear about people getting super cute clothes there so I thought I would give it a shot & try on a few stuff! I fell in love with the selection they had at my local Marshall's. In the pic above I got this super cute & simple button down tank top which I've been wanting for a while & I just absolutely fell in love with how well this top did for me & even better it was $10!!! I also got this bodysuit which I never thought in a million years I'd finally find one that worked well for me so I shot my shot & found one I LOVED for $8! I wouldn't call myself a bargain shopper what so ever even though I really should but I'm going to tell y'all about other affordable places I like to shop at for clothes! TJ Maxx - I've never been lucky enough to find everyday cloth...

Influenced - Trying New Fashion Trends

Influenced - Trying New Fashion Trends So this may just look like just an average everyday outfit right?? There's very important details to the outfit that will be shown! For me personally each of these important details were kind of a risk for me to try out because I literally have nothing in my closet that are like these pieces what so ever but I loved how they looked together & I got so many compliments on the outfit as a whole! First important detail about this top is the split back which absolutely drew me to getting the top! I've had split back tops before but this one was totally different from anything else I own! Also I've never been a fan of super see through blouses but I paired this with a super pretty lace bandeau (from Gilly Hicks by Hollister) & it completely complimented the outfit! I instantly fell in love! This next detail that is my personal favorite about this specific outfit are these jeans!!! I love the dark wash strip on the side!...

I love summer so much & I have so many exciting things planned! I haven't posted about my skin in such a long time so let me tell y'all how my skin has been doing! My skincare journey hasn't exactly been the easiest if you have read my blog for a long time I have gone through such a battle within the last 2 years with my skin. So this pic above is what I look like currently with no makeup on! I am super confident with how my skin is doing at the moment but the journey wasn't always like this. The summer right after I graduated high school my skin was at its best it's ever been but I never wore makeup but like once a week but I knew that wasn...

Adulting & Adventuring with Jess - My Top Favorite Khalid Songs

Adulting & Adventuring with Jess - My Top Favorite Khalid Songs So if you don't follow me on social media Khalid has been my thing lately!! I discovered Khalid in February 2017 & I was going through so much whenever I discovered him. I was going through Twitter one day & I had ran into the link for Location which was his big song then & then after I heard that song I immediately did more research on him & ran into his other music.  I loved his music immediately! His voice & his vibe are absolutely everything! Also I love the fact he's a Texas boy, always representing the class of 2016 (my high school graduating class), & his personality too. He's one of my favorite people on Twitter that I follow because of how active he is with his fans & he just has fun with it! He's so real & I love when an artist is real in his music & everyday life! I wanted to do a Khalid themed post to celebrate his new album coming out, the fa...

Influenced - Recovering from Arichella

Influenced - Recovering from Arichella (T-shirt is from summer camp I use to attend & fun fact I tie dyed that myself! Tie dying is so much fun! My shorts are new though! They are from Kohl's from a brand called Filas & it's giving me major NASA by Ariana Grande vibes!) So I spent most of my night last night staying up till literally 2:00 AM watching Coachella's live stream on YouTube! I watched some of Zedd's performance, Khalid's, H.E.R.'s, & Ariana Grande's. WHAT A LINEUP!! I wish I could have physically been there but SOMEDAY GUYS I'LL BE THERE!! Besides the horrible mic problems it was so worth staying up for! NSYNC FREAKING REUNITED TOO LIKE WHAT THE HECK! I am still shook! I'm lowkey sad Justin couldn't be there but I'm still happy that the rest of the NSYNC guys still got the perform! I haven't shared my Spotify playlists on here in a while & since we are talking music I'm going to link down below ...

Influenced - Reflecting On This Week (In My Style & Personal Life) - Skirts Over Pants!

Influenced - Reflecting On This Week (In My Style & Personal Life) - Skirts Over Pants! (Whole outfit is from Francesca's) (Jewelry & Skirt: Francesca's, Top: Cotton On) This week has been beyond crazy! As y'all know a week ago I had my first heart cath in 10 years! If you still have no idea what I'm talking about click here for the full story! I went back to work on Monday for an 8 hour shift & I had spent most of my recovery the 5 days after the procedure laying down & doing very minimum walking.   The mistake I made during recovery was not walking enough but during a cath you are in so much pain especially in the top part of your leg that it makes your entire body super sore! When they put the thread in my leg to look at my heart they put an insane amount of pressure on your leg which makes that part of the recovery the most brutal. So back to when I went back to work! I had worked an 8 hour shift which I always kind of knew that...

Influenced - Casual, Comfortable, & Confident

Influenced - Casual, Comfortable, & Confident (T-Shirt Dress: Cotton On) (T-Shirt was custom made at local surf shop on North Padre Island called The Islander) Happy Saturday! Today we are going to talk about the 3 Cs! Casual. Comfortable. Confident. I got inspiration for this post off of the t-shirt dress above! I got this while I was out shopping at the outlets in Robstown & I literally felt all of the 3 Cs! I currently am home bound because of my recent procedure which if you haven't checked out my last post you have no idea what I'm talking about! Because during the cath they went through the top part of my leg I have to wear things real flowy like dresses or pajama shorts! I know when I go back to work on Monday I'm really going to have to wear skirts & dresses for a few days! With that being said today's outfit ideas I'm going to link below are fun outfits for this weather that you can wear for that casual, comfortable, ...

My Heart Cath Journey 2019

My Heart Cath Journey 2019 I'm ready to finally open up & talk about how my past week has gone! I recently just went through a Heart Catheterization procedure or just say Heart Cath it's a lot more simple. The American Heart Association's definition of a Heart Catheterization is a procedure to examine how well your heart is working. A thin, hollow tube called a catheter is inserted into a large blood vessel (they do mine through my legs) that leads to your heart.  I've had a ton of caths throughout my life! My last one was 10 years ago at the age of 11 which they put in a stent in my artery to help my blood flow. I was born with a 3 chambers to my heart instead of 4 & have had 3 major heart surgeries. 2 of them were done when I was a baby & the other one was done when I was about 3 or 4 years old. The chamber that isn't working is my left ventricle. The names of my surgeries have been called a Glenn & a Fontan. About a month ago I went...
