Adulting & Adventuring with Jess - Current Skincare Journey Status

Adulting & Adventuring with Jess - Current Skincare Journey Status

So I will start my summer themed posts officially NEXT WEDNESDAY! Can you believe it?? This is my 3rd summer documenting my summer on here & if you have never seen them or have absolutely no idea what I am talking about click here! I love summer so much & I have so many exciting things planned!

I haven't posted about my skin in such a long time so let me tell y'all how my skin has been doing! My skincare journey hasn't exactly been the easiest if you have read my blog for a long time I have gone through such a battle within the last 2 years with my skin.

So this pic above is what I look like currently with no makeup on! I am super confident with how my skin is doing at the moment but the journey wasn't always like this. The summer right after I graduated high school my skin was at its best it's ever been but I never wore makeup but like once a week but I knew that wasn't going to last long because I eventually had to be an adult, get a job, & have to look presentable 90% of my week.

Over 2 1/2 years ago when I had my first retail job I was going through the stress of getting use to the work world, I had very negative influences in my life, & I was so stressed with how much negativity I was surrounding myself with that I was drinking 1-2 bottles of soda a day which is horrible for your skin.

I had the worst breakout of my life during this time & ever since then I've really had a battle with my skin. There's times where my skin would do great & times where my skin would be horrible. I tried so many different kinds of products & I did a ton of research on my skin on what works for my skin type & what doesn't.

For a few months from April 2018-November 2018 I started doing facials (which I miss them so much I just haven't had the money lately to do it!) & the tips from the estheticians I had were super helpful & honestly changed my life. Facials may be a little pricy but it sure was worth every single penny!

I get asked by my close friends especially what products I use that help my skin. I understand everyone's skin types are different but I'm going to link down below what products have changed my life. I have dry skin with redness especially on my cheek area. Let me know if I put y'all on any new products or if you wanna suggest me to new products I'm open to suggestions!

Garnier BB Cream - I've been using this BB cream for over a year now & on days where I know I'm not going to wear makeup for a long time or if I want to go more for a natural look this is what I use. It applies so well & I use this stuff at least once a week sometimes twice a week depending on what I'm doing.

Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant -  THIS STUFF HAS CHANGED MY LIFE!! I do this stuff almost everyday. I've gone to maybe like 5 times a week using this stuff. I only use it at night before I go in  the shower & I swear I started seeing the best results on my skin after being super consistent with this stuff! Highly recommend!

Simple Water Boost Sheet Masks - My mom is so obsessed with this stuff & I'm so glad she put me on this! I try to do this mask once a week. I love the way this mask feels. The moisture against my skin does so well. It honestly helps me so much with the dryness of my skin. I highly recommend trying this mask out!

Simple Skin Calming Sheet Masks - Out of this mask & the other one this one is my personal favorite. After a super stressful day putting this mask on instantly soothes me. I think every stressed young adult deserves to have this mask in their life. I get mine mostly from CVS but they are also available at Target!

Other products I've mentioned before in the past that have changed my life:

I haven't celebrated a blogging anniversary in a really long time, but I was looking back on when I started this blog and how long it has been, it absolutely blew my mind. I wish I could tell that lonely & confused 19-year-old me that at almost 28 years old, she is living most of the content creating dream she has always wanted. Thank y'all for being on this ride for 8 years <3 Instagram: @jessicanicoledeleon Podcast: It's A BOP! with Jess on Spotify

Making Fall Fashion Cute in a Coastal City

Making Fall Fashion Cute in a Coastal City Hey guys! Today we will be doing a fashion themed post & today's theme is making fall fashion cute but if you live in a southern coastal city where it is still 90 degrees outside. I feel like there is not enough recognition for coastal falls, especially in fashion so today, we are going to get realistic about fall fashion while it is still 90 degrees outside. Neutrals Go with EVERYTHING! No matter if you are doing a tank top and shorts look or even a sweater with jeans (if you risk being sweaty after the fact), neutrals are a GO TO for every season but mostly for fall. Lean towards your black, white, & even like an oatmeal type of neutral colored clothing & focus on those when building your coastal fall wardrobe. Neutral Outfit Inspo from Pinterest Tube Tops with Light Cardigans Whether you are wearing the tube top with shorts or jeans, if you really want to channel that fall look or even if you are going somewhere indoors wher...

How 2025 Became My Best Year Yet & 26 Goals for 2026

How 2025 Became My Best Year Yet & 26 Goals for 2026 Outfit Details: Top: Abercrombie & Fitch Shorts: Nordstrom Hey guys! I know I have been MIA from the blog for a while (most of the year actually) but I went MIA for very good reasons!  2025 has been full of blessings and amazing memories. As we start goal setting for 2026, I want to recap how 2025 became my best year yet and how going into 2026, I am feeling such a fresh mindset and this positive momentum we had in 2025 will in fact continue in 2026. I want to continue to be a positive force within not only myself but also for the people around me as well. 2025 became the year I have been longing for since I stepped into this crazy world of adulthood at 18 years old and that is, working full time in marketing/social media. Within the company I have worked for the past 2 1/2 years, this past June I switched departments from Membership/Recruitment to full on Marketing which if you have been following me for a while has been...
