Adulting & Adventuring with Jess - My New Favorite Cookies & More!

Adulting & Adventuring with Jess - My New Favorite Cookies & More!

Hey guys! I know it's been a few days but I've been spending the past couple of days obsessing over the sweet treats I have in this picture above & honestly, I had no actual plot for today's post other than the fact there was going to be a whole column on me talking about these cookies & the brownie. This post should've really been called, "No, Jess is not on a Diet" HAHA!

So ANYWAYS, let's get onto today's post where I'll be talking about everything I eat besides anything healthy LOL!

So seeing the picture above your mouth probably watered (mine surely did) & I will tell y'all about where I got them from & how amazing they were!

This place is called Sugar Sugar which is located in downtown Corpus Christi & I discovered this place through some Instagram stories of people saying how amazing this place is & with the sweet tooth I obviously have, I had to check this place out!

I didn't realize till later that this place had just opened literally this week & honestly I feel kind of cool knowing I went on their first week of opening!

I had to get a brownie because I had heard the brownies were amazing! I got the M&M brownie which had chocolate icing dripped on top of chocolate brownie with some sprinkles. Honestly, that's already my personal heaven & I must agree that heaven is a place on earth & that place is this brownie I had from Sugar Sugar lol!

Then, I got possibly the best cookie I've ever had in my life. I'm not even being dramatic guys. I felt like that one scene in High School Musical where Sharpay literally told Zeke that his cookies were genius. It radiated that exact same energy.

The cookie I got was a Smores cookie which had everything like marshmallows & chocolate but it was the extra Chocolate they put in there that really made it amazing!

Another thing I LOVED about it was the fact that it wasn't super soft but it wasn't super crunchy either. It was the right texture (I know that sounds weird to say but if you know exactly what I'm trying to say, CONGRATS)!

That's pretty much all I have to say about Sugar Sugar & if you live in the area or are visiting the area, I highly recommend trying out this place especially if you love sweets like I do!

I will definitely be going back that's for sure so that's my special shoutout to them.. y'all are truly amazing!

Anyways, I'm trying to eat better but then I run towards a chocolate cookie & then I ask myself, "what's a diet??"

That's pretty much all for today's post, I'm going to work on tomorrow's post because I do have a lot to say! I originally was going to combine today & tomorrow's post, but nah I felt like making an entire post about some sweets instead!

Have a blessed Sunday & stay safe this holiday weekend!

I haven't celebrated a blogging anniversary in a really long time, but I was looking back on when I started this blog and how long it has been, it absolutely blew my mind. I wish I could tell that lonely & confused 19-year-old me that at almost 28 years old, she is living most of the content creating dream she has always wanted. Thank y'all for being on this ride for 8 years <3 Instagram: @jessicanicoledeleon Podcast: It's A BOP! with Jess on Spotify

Making Fall Fashion Cute in a Coastal City

Making Fall Fashion Cute in a Coastal City Hey guys! Today we will be doing a fashion themed post & today's theme is making fall fashion cute but if you live in a southern coastal city where it is still 90 degrees outside. I feel like there is not enough recognition for coastal falls, especially in fashion so today, we are going to get realistic about fall fashion while it is still 90 degrees outside. Neutrals Go with EVERYTHING! No matter if you are doing a tank top and shorts look or even a sweater with jeans (if you risk being sweaty after the fact), neutrals are a GO TO for every season but mostly for fall. Lean towards your black, white, & even like an oatmeal type of neutral colored clothing & focus on those when building your coastal fall wardrobe. Neutral Outfit Inspo from Pinterest Tube Tops with Light Cardigans Whether you are wearing the tube top with shorts or jeans, if you really want to channel that fall look or even if you are going somewhere indoors wher...

How 2025 Became My Best Year Yet & 26 Goals for 2026

How 2025 Became My Best Year Yet & 26 Goals for 2026 Outfit Details: Top: Abercrombie & Fitch Shorts: Nordstrom Hey guys! I know I have been MIA from the blog for a while (most of the year actually) but I went MIA for very good reasons!  2025 has been full of blessings and amazing memories. As we start goal setting for 2026, I want to recap how 2025 became my best year yet and how going into 2026, I am feeling such a fresh mindset and this positive momentum we had in 2025 will in fact continue in 2026. I want to continue to be a positive force within not only myself but also for the people around me as well. 2025 became the year I have been longing for since I stepped into this crazy world of adulthood at 18 years old and that is, working full time in marketing/social media. Within the company I have worked for the past 2 1/2 years, this past June I switched departments from Membership/Recruitment to full on Marketing which if you have been following me for a while has been...
