Social Media Made Me Do It: The Charli

Social Media Made Me Do It: The Charli

(Yes, that is me with my "The Charli" drink in the Whataburger drive thru because I was really wanting a BOB)

Hey guys! I really can't believe my morning has turned out the way it has & the inspiration for today's post is based on a 16 year old girl's Tik Tok drink! I really had nothing else better to do with my morning than do exactly this. Actually, I had to get my tire pressures checked & then I just happened to be near a Dunkin so I figured, hey why not try out this drink I've been seeing all over the internet!

I don't overly watch Tik Tok but the name Charli D'Amelio is not completely foreign to me! Apparently, she got famous for doing those really basic Tik Tok dances which honestly, I'm kind of jealous.

She's literally 16 getting rich off of that & when I was 16, I was trying to be original on Vine & my content was SEVERLY UNDERRATED (I miss you Vine RIP)! I've had a hard time trying to get into Tik Tok like I'm better now about it but no, VINE FOR LIFE!!!

Anyways, she has this drink named after her at Dunkin called, "The Charli" which is a cold brew with whole milk & several pumps of caramel. I'm leaving out the medium part because I obviously have a small in my hands. For any new viewers to my blog, I know I'm going to get the "You're suppose to get a medium!" comments but honestly, let me just do whatever I want LOL!

I also got the small because I know myself already & if I had hated it, I would have regretted getting the medium plus, I'm saving money!!!

Overall my review of the Charli, I honestly have to give it a 10/10 which is a surprisingly high rating for me. I like for my coffee to be sweet but not super sweet & this coffee was sweet but not so sweet that you can literally taste the tablespoons of sugar so congrats Charli, I'm a fan of your Dunkin coffee order!

I read reviews online & watched YouTube videos of people saying that the small wasn't anything super special & that's where I saw the Charli Tik Tok defense squad members in the comments telling them, "You're suppose to get the medium! You ordered it incorrect!" but honestly, I'm here to tell everyone right now reading this post, get whatever size of this damn drink that you want whether that's a small or even a extra large!

I had no problem with the small though! I know people were saying they weren't able to taste the caramel but honestly, the caramel was the best part! I'm a fan! I think of course if I got the medium, it would have had more sugar & more caramel but for this morning I wasn't looking for anything super crazy especially because I was going to eat a BOB from Whataburger & I've learned the hard way that drinking a super sugary coffee & eating a entire meal just overall makes me feel disgusting!

The only reason I'd get the medium is if I was going on a longer road trip or just really needed that extra boost of energy for work, school, etc.

This my 2nd time at Dunkin! I went to Dunkin back in July & made a entire post which I will link at the end of this post & I still feel the same way I did in that post. I had gotten a Iced French Vanilla Coffee & it honestly tasted like something I could make at home which ever since then, I have learned how to make it at home & save a ton of money!

I feel the same about "The Charli"! I feel like I can make this recipe at home & I don't feel the need to go out of my way every morning & buy, "The Charli" like I'm glad Charli could contribute to my $2.89 (she probably only gets like a 10-15% profit off of it), but I think with the stuff I have at home & if I invested in some Caramel creamer or even a Caramel pod for my Keurig, I don't think it would be super difficult to make at home!

I hope y'all enjoyed today's post & I'm officially opening back up my comments section! I had blocked the setting for a while due to the fact I was receiving weird robot comments but after a few weeks of blocking the comments section, the problem seemed to fade away!
