I Hosted My BIGGEST Event Yet with SPONSORS & A DJ!!

I Hosted My BIGGEST Event Yet with SPONSORS & A DJ!! Outfit Details: Dress: Lulu's Shoes: Dolce Vita (Nordstrom Rack) Necklace: Wild Pink Boutique Earrings: Kendra Scott Hey guys! Since I've used this blog for the past 8 years to talk about events in my life that have been so special, let's talk about MY BIGGEST EVENT I'VE HOSTED YET!! Yes, you saw the title right, I did not only host an event for Galentines but I also had SPONSORS & A DJ! For someone who has been a smaller content creator for 9 years, those words even coming out of my mouth is an absolutely insane feeling!  It all started with a vision to collaborate a pop culture dance party (which is 100% in my element if you personally know me) and bringing the girlies together for the most iconic dance party for Galentines season! The party was called, "Feminomenon: A Galentines Dance Party" (yes, Chappell Roan inspired) & it was going to be a huge celebration of GIRLHOOD which is literally t...

I'm 27, about to be 28 in July (it's still scary to say those numbers haha) & what I've learned so far is that your 20s go through waves of different types of hard. The struggles I was going through at 21 & my struggles now are completely different & prioritizing my mental health has evolved & changed overtime. Today's post is going to be for all of my late 20s girlies out there! I am writing this post to not only hold myself accountable but to share to y'all about protecting your peace & prioritizing your mental health. Do Not Compare Your Life Timeline to Others, Your Timeline is Catered Towards YOU! I feel like I have brushed off this feeling for most of my 20s but whenever you have the peopl...

Life Updates - March 2024

Life Updates - March 2024 Outfit Details: Top: HSLOT 2022 in Austin Skirt: Nordstrom Rack Hey guys! Here is your monthly blog update, I need to make a habit of doing these monthly just to document my mid 20s life since I've been documenting almost every moment on here since I was 19. Why not keep the traditions going? HAHA. Anyways. Let's recap what this past month has been like for me so far. So this month alone, I have been having the time of my life with my best friends making amazing memories with them. The first HUGE accomplishment I want to bring up that happened to me at the beginning of the month is that I was featured on my local news for my work with my local women's empowerment group, "Navigating Corpus Christi" for Women's History Month. I shared about the importance that having a community of women means to a woman & it was such a surreal experience! I was able to bring on some of my close friends (most of them I have met through this communit...

Galentines Weekend 2024 Outfit Details: Pajamas: Amazon Shoes: Nordstrom Rack Hey guys! I am attempting to get back on target with blogging again like I did back in the day because there are just times where I miss being able to type up something to look back & read on later. Anyways, today's post is going to be a little update on how life has been for me & all of that good stuff in between so I hope y'all enjoy this little post & stay tuned for more posts this year! I am over the moon happy with life. I am grateful for my professional career, social media career, my support system, & just life in general. I haven't really been able to say that in a super long time or really barely at all in my 20s because navigating young adulthood has crazy ups & downs & for the first time probably ever, I feel extremely fulfilled & I cannot be more grateful for that! This weekend is the beginning of Galentines weekend & I love the celebration of Galentine...

6 Years Later.

6 Years Later. Hey guys! I have so much to update & this blog post will be exactly that. Whenever major life changes or events happen in my life, for the past 6 years I love to go back to my original Blogspot blogging roots to update y'all on what's going on. It's crazy to think my young adult content creating journey started on a Blogspot blog when I was 19 years old with absolutely no idea with how much this blog would evolve. I knew eventually that being a local influencer would be something I'd want to do someday but to think that I'm being categorized as one still blows my mind. Last night, I got invited by one of my favorite local boutiques to sit with them & represent the boutique in the audience of a exclusive local fashion show. If someone had told 2018 me this, I would have thought you were insane because I always dreamed of getting a opportunity to go to an event like that! I was absolutely overwhelmed in the best way possible by how much fun this...

February 2023

February 2023 Hey guys! I felt inspired to do a blog post today about life lately & all of that fun stuff. I'm not going to lie; this past month hasn't been easy at all & I've been faced with so many challenges that I am still in the process of overcoming but I have faith that there is a light at the end of a dark tunnel & that good things will happen to me very soon! Last month, I did a blog post of 5 things I wanted to accomplish in that month & let's see if I stayed true to everything, I promised I would accomplish!  1. Start reading more books that will impact my life in a positive way: Well, that was a very specific way of me saying that I should pick up a book & read & well, I started a book club through my local women's empowerment Facebook group, so we are getting somewhere. I wouldn't say the book I'm reading is impacting my life in a positive way but what is impacting my life in a positive way is starting the book club as a ...

Things I've Learned as a "Small Blogger"

Things I've Learned as a "Small Blogger" Hey guys! Today I thought I would lay on my couch & do a formal blog post since I want to get back into my blogging game. Today's topic is going to be all about the things I've learned as a "Small Blogger". I have been blogging since 2017 & have grown my platform to content creating on Instagram, Twitter, Tik Tok, etc. Over the years, I've learned a lot about the blogging industry & if y'all have followed this blog for a while, this has been my experimental platform as far as content goes. I hope y'all enjoy today's post & let me know if you are a small blogger what you have learned over the years!  1. Stay True to Your Brand & Passions: I use the word, "Small Blogger" or "Small Influencer" way more often than I would have a few years ago. The day I stopped caring about how many likes & views my content got was the day I stopped having creative block ...

My "Influencer/Blogger" Career Is Looking Up

My "Influencer/Blogger" Career Is Looking Up Hey guys! I was going to make this entire blog post about how my mental health hasn't been the best lately & coping skills I use for dealing with tough mental health days like the days I've been having lately, but let's focus on the positive for once because you know, this is a positive platform & want all of my platforms to be, just that! Now, I have been blogging since I was 19 years old (I'm currently 25 years old) & throughout my journey, my "brand" has changed & evolved to suit what I'm currently going through in my life & my interests/hobbies at the time. Even though I don't reach out to blogging as much as I used to, I want to start getting better at it again because there's something so comforting about typing out a post for me.  I'm more active with my content creating on my main social media platforms Instagram, Twitter, Tik Tok, & my podcast (It's A BO...

This post is a little life updates post and spreading some more positivity on this platform! I want to go back to my blogging roots & so far, I feel like we are on the right track to that! If you are new here or maybe know me best from my podcast (It's A BOP! with Jess on Spotify), I originally started my content creating journey on here when I was 19 years old where I founded it on fashion & beauty but then it evolved into literally every topic under the sun. My mental health hasn't been the best lately due to lots of personal things going on in my life & during these rough mental health times, I like to spread positivity to others & make others feel good about themselves & it usually lifts me up & puts me in an overall better mood! So I launched my local empowering women Facebook Group ca...

HAPPY 2023!

HAPPY 2023! Hey guys! HAPPY 2023! This picture above is me on New Year's Eve spending in the most Jess way possible which is in a hot tub by the beach. I'm making it a New Year's Resolution to myself this year that I find the motivation to blog again as well as have my podcast to talk about my life on. Mostly my podcast I just talk about music & the concerts I've been to but this year, I'm challenging myself to be more personable with y'all & share my mid 20s life experiences with y'all.  I think of where I was this time a year ago & I knew that 2022 was going to be life changing for me but not in the ways that it ended up being. When I started this blog at 19, I was one lost & confused gal trying to find my place in this crazy young adult world. 2022 was the year that everything I worked my butt off for came to me career wise & in this new year, I strive to create bigger goals for myself to accomplish greatness for myself & be an in...

Ways I Stay Organized & Balanced while Having a Full Time Job, a Podcast, a Concert Addiction, & a Social Life Hey guys! Today's post is going to be all about organization! If 2022 has taught me anything, it's taught me the necessary skills I need to stay organized. I have a full-time job in apartment leasing (I also create social media content for the community), a pop culture podcast (which is currently on hiatus), a concert addiction, & a social life. How in fact do I balance all of that without going absolutely crazy? Well, I'm about to tell y'all exactly what I do! Creating the Healthy Balance Between Your Work Life & Life Outside of Work Since having a full-time job, it's hard at times to keep your full-time job only at work. There are times where I think about things I need to do & the #1 thing that's helped me keep that balance is not taking my work home with me. I have a planner I only keep at work & then I am in the process of g...

It's that time of year again where I share with y'all my New Year's Resolutions for the upcoming year. Most of my resolutions from this year did come true to me in some ways & I can't be prouder of myself on how much I have accomplished within this past year! This year, I wanted to post my resolutions because I have a lot of faith in my resolutions for the upcoming year. I know I had mentioned that my first episode of Season 3 of my podcast, "It's A BOP! with Jess" was going to premiere August 7 (this Sunday to be exact) but it may have to be postponed. It's not for sure thing, just come personal stuff came up within the past couple of hours that may have me delaying the premiere.  Other than the past couple of hours, life has been GREAT for me lately & I've been pretty content with my life at the moment.  This is 25. Outfit Details: Top: Shein Skirt: Francesca's Hey guys!! This is my first blog post as a 25-year-old (it still sounds so weird to me)! I turned 25 on July 10 & life already has been so positive & great for me. We started off 25 on a very well, AMAZING START! If you haven't read my last post, I updated y'all about how my internship ended & I was going to start a new job at a local apartment complex. I've currently completed 2 weeks at the complex & my life is already changing in so many positive aspects & I'm learning so many interesting things! So, I haven't started officially leasing apartments yet, so I've been watching training videos, answering resident/customer calls, & getting set up on my complex's Instagram. If y'all have known me for a while or have been following this blog for a while, I have been wanting to be a social media manager or content creator for a place I've worked at for so long & it...
