My Official Grammys 2021 Nomination Predictions

My Official Grammys 2021 Nomination Predictions

Hey guys!!! Eligibility period has officially ended for the 2021 Grammys & now I thought it'd be fair to share y'all my FULL & OFFICIAL Grammys 2021 Predictions! I made VERY EARLY predictions back in May (which you can actually click here to view & yes my predictions are VERY different since new music has released since then!) & I am personally SUPER excited about this year's award shows because even though 2020 has been a HOT MESS of a year, the music definitely hasn't been a hot mess! It's going to be super interesting to see what ideas the Recording Academy has in store for this year's awards show!

Before we get into my predictions:
These are my personal opinions!
These are NOT confirmed nominations & strictly just predictions for this year's nominees!
I won't 100% agree with these predictions & these predictions will be as realistic as possible as I have done my research through various sources (Billboard, Gold Derby, Pop Crave, & Twitter fans).
The Recording Academy will definitely have other ideas in mind!

MY TOP CONTENDERS FOR: Record of The Year
Adore You by Harry Styles
Blinding Lights by The Weeknd
Circles by Post Malone
The Box by Roddy Ricch
Don't Start Now by Dua Lipa
Rain On Me by Lady Gaga & Ariana Grande
Underdog by Alicia Keys
Cardigan by Taylor Swift

From the prediction websites I've been seeing throughout the last couple of months, these predictions haven't changed much except for Cardigan which recently just came out! Realistically, I can see all of these songs being nominated. Personally for me, I really am rooting for Harry Styles! I am a huge Harry Styles fan so it'll make 1000% sense the amount of Harry Styles you will see in these predictions! From the predictions I've seen on media outlets, Harry has SUCH HIGH CHANCES THIS YEAR!!! I AM PUMPED!! I also can see Rain on Me & Blinding Lights winning too! If Harry doesn't win, I'd want either of those songs to win. It's going to be interesting to see what the Recording Academy has in mind!

My Top 3 Contenders:
Adore You
Rain On Me
Blinding Lights

MY TOP CONTENDERS FOR: Song of The Year
Blinding Lights by The Weeknd
Adore You by Harry Styles
Dance Monkey by Tones & I
Circles by Post Malone
Don't Start Now by Dua Lipa
Cardigan by Taylor Swift
I Can't Breathe by H.E.R.
Rain On Me by Lady Gaga & Ariana Grande

This category's predictions were based on many factors! A lot of the songs that tend to get nominated for Record of the Year also get nominated for Song of the Year! I chose songs based off of popularity, what I've been seeing in other prediction websites, & past nominees. In the past 2 years, H.E.R. has been SUPER hyped by the Recording Academy which she definitely deserves! I chose I Can't Breathe to be on these predictions because the song is SO POWERFUL! My predictions for who I think can realistically get nominated & win are pretty much the same from my Record of the Year predictions!

My Top 3 Contenders:
Adore You
Rain On Me
Blinding Lights

MY TOP CONTENDERS FOR: Album of The Year
After Hours by The Weeknd
Fine Line by Harry Styles
Chromatica by Lady Gaga
Future Nostalgia by Dua Lipa
Hollywood's Bleeding by Post Malone
Legends Never Die by Juice WRLD
Ungodly Hour by Chloe x Halle
Folklore by Taylor Swift

I know for this category the Recording Academy will have other ideas in mind! I love every single one of these albums in their own ways & according to prediction websites, all of these albums definitely have a good chance of being nominated! Out of all of the albums I predicted (I almost said nominated but I have to stop myself because, these are predictions!!), I am 10000% rooting for Fine Line just from how much that album means to me plus it's so different & creative! I wouldn't mind if any of these other albums got nominated & won, but I am 10000% TEAM FINE LINE!!

My Top 3 Contenders:
Fine Line
Folklore
Chromatica

MY TOP CONTENDERS FOR: Best New Artist
Scarypoolparty
Gabby Barrett
Tones & I
Megan Thee Stallion
Roddy Ricch
Doja Cat
Summer Walker
Jack Harlow

Ok, so these predictions were based off of who was popular this past year & just in general some cool artists I have discovered over the past year! I really think the main contenders for Best New Artist are going to be Megan Thee Stallion, Doja Cat, & Roddy Ricch! They all were CRAZY popular this year & either deserve the nomination & win! I'm not a huge Doja Cat fan so she wasn't in my personal top 3 contenders but Scarypoolparty was! If you don't know who that is, stop whatever you are doing & check him out! He was runner up on American Idol in 2019 & possibly one of the coolest artists I've discovered in the past year! It would be SO COOL if he got nominated & he has visited the Recording Academy, so I believe that could be a sign HAHA! But realistically, I think the top contender is going to be Megan Thee Stallion!

My Top 3 Contenders:
Scarypoolparty
Roddy Ricch
Megan Thee Stallion

MY TOP CONTENDERS For: Best Pop Solo Performance
Adore You by Harry Styles
Midnight Sky by Miley Cyrus
Stupid Love by Lady Gaga
Circles by Post Malone
Cardigan by Taylor Swift

These predictions took a ton of debating & this has been changed a million times within the past 2 months I've been working on this post but WE HAVE OUR FINAL PREDICTIONS!! I personally love every song on this list but of course, I will be rooting for Harry Styles to be nominated & win! Another top contender I left off of here was Blinding Lights just because I am SUPER unsure whether they are going to submit him more in the pop categories or R&B but I also predict Blinding Lights by The Weeknd!

My Top 3 Contenders:
Adore You
Cardigan
Stupid Love

MY TOP CONTENDERS FOR: Best Pop Duo/Group Performance
Rain On Me by Ariana Grande & Lady Gaga
X by Jonas Brothers & Karol G
Intentions by Justin Bieber & Quavo
Dynamite by BTS
Experience by Khalid & Victoria Monet

These predictions were all based on popularity! This category is a no brainer & I will be very surprised if this song doesn't get nominated & win. RAIN ON ME HAS THIS CATEGORY HANDS DOWN! From the moment I heard Rain On Me, I knew in my heart that this was going to be the song that would win this award in 2021 & y'all will find this post after the Grammys & I'll be telling y'all how I CALLED THIS! Ariana & Gaga are both super popular artists & we all know the Grammys likes popularity plus the whole song in general is just brilliant & amazing! I had to be fair & do a top 3 since I've given a top 3 for everyone else but I will be very shocked if it's not Rain On Me!

My Top 3 Contenders:
Rain On Me
Experience
Intentions

MY TOP CONTENDERS FOR: Pop Vocal Album
Fine Line by Harry Styles
Future Nostalgia by Dua Lipa
Chromatica by Lady Gaga
Folklore by Taylor Swift
Hollywood's Bleeding by Post Malone

All of these albums were in my "Album of the Year" predictions & honestly, I feel like I'm pretty spot on with these predictions considering the fact every single one of these albums on this list were all INSANELY POPUALR & ALL OVER EVERY GRAMMYS PREDICTION SITE EVER!! I think of what the category says though, "Pop Vocal Album" & based off of that my top 3 came to be, Harry, Dua, & Gaga! I want Harry to win Album of the Year more so for this category I am equally on each team for my top 3 contenders! Another possibility for this category is, After Hours by The Weeknd but I have NO IDEA what genre his team is going to submit him under. It's kind of like Lizzo last year how she was nominated in both the pop & R&B categories. That could be the case for The Weeknd as well but honestly, I see him winning bigger in the R&B categories than the pop categories!

My Top 3 Contenders:
Fine Line
Future Nostalgia
Chromatica

Other Categories:

Best Dance Recording:
Be Kind by Marshmello & Halsey
Roses (Imanbek Remix) by SAINt JHN
Lose Somebody by Kygo & OneRepublic
Come & Go by Juice WRLD & Marshmello
Pomegrante by deadmau5 & The Neptunes

I wasn't originally going to predict this category but a lot of real popular dance tracks came out this year! As much as I really want Come & Go to get nominated & win, I feel like the popularity that Roses got will be unmatched to other categories! What I'm hoping is that Come & Go becomes more popular within the next few months so it will get it's rightfully deserved Grammy!

My Top 3 Contenders:
Be Kind
Roses
Come & Go

Best Rock Performance & Best Rock Song:
Take What You Want by Post Malone, Travis Scott, & Ozzy Osbourne
Dance the Night Away by Scarypoolparty
The Game Is Over by Evanescence
Sober by Bad Wolves
If You're Too Shy (Let Me Know) by The 1975

I really just made these predictions because Take What You Want deserves this award & it better be freaking nominated!!!

My Top 3 Contenders:
Take What You Want
Dance the Night Away
If You're Too Shy (Let Me Know)

Best Alternative Album:
Exit Form by Scarypoolparty
Notes On A Conditional Form by The 1975
Women in Music Pt. III by HAIM
The Slow Rush by Tame Impala
Fetch The Bolt Cutters by Fiona Apple

As much as I want Exit Form to be nominated, I feel like he'll be robbed & too underrated for this awards show (only a girl can dream)! I really enjoy Tame Impala's new music so they remain my top contender for this award!

My Top 3 Contenders:
Exit Form
The Slow Rush
Fetch The Bolt Cutters

Best R&B Performance & R&B Song:
I Can't Breathe by H.E.R.
Eleven by Khalid
Come Thru by Summer Walker & Usher
Scared To Live by The Weeknd
Forgive Me by Chloe x Halle

This one was SO HARD TO PREDICT!! I had like 10 different songs FOREVER but I finally narrowed down which songs I want nominated & honestly, either song could be nominated & win! I'd be happy with any result! Of course, since I predicted the same 5 songs for 2 different categories the Recording Academy will have other ideas in mind but these are just my predictions in general for the R&B category!

My Top 3 Contenders:
I Can't Breathe
Scared To Live
Forgive Me

Best Urban Contemporary Album & Best R&B Album:
After Hours by The Weeknd
It Was Good Until It Wasn't by Kehlani
Over It by Summer Walker
Chilombo by Jhene Aiko
Ungodly Hour by Chloe x Halle

So apparently for this category, some changes were made (I think for R&B & Rap) so I just went off of last year's nominees to predict this year's! I really think either After Hours or Ungodly Hour has this nomination for sure for either category but there again I am predicting 2 categories into one.. so yeah, this is just a general prediction! I loved every single one of these albums!

My Top 3 Contenders:
After Hours
Ungodly Hour
It Was Good Until It Wasn't

Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Song, & Best Rap/Sung Performance:
Savage Remix by Megan Thee Stallion & Beyonce
The Box by Roddy Ricch
Life Is Good by Future & Drake
Good News by Mac Miller
ROCKSTAR by DaBaby & Roddy Ricch

I know for the Rap categories there are going to be some changes to some category names but I still went off of last year's nominees & results to create these predictions. I think either Megan/Beyonce or Roddy Ricch for sure have a nomination in the bag for a rap category! I could see Roddy Ricch winning big honestly, he's super cool & The Box was SO WELL produced!

My Top 3 Contenders:
Savage Remix
Good News
The Box

Best Rap Album:
Circles by Mac Miller
Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial by Roddy Ricch
Suga by Megan Thee Stallion
Legends Never Die by Juice WRLD
Shoot for the Stars Aim for The Moon by Pop Smoke

I think there's going to be changes made to this category but I could be wrong! I REALLY REALLY want Mac to take this award but I feel like Roddy will get the nomination & win (or maybe even Megan)! I feel like everyone I mentioned will be at least nominated but who knows what the Recording Academy will have in mind!

My Top 3 Contenders:
Circles
Suga
Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial

Best Country Solo Performance (or Best Country Song):
I Hope by Gabby Barrett
One Margarita by Luke Bryan
Bluebird by Miranda Lambert
Chasin' You by Morgan Wallen
Hard to Forget by Sam Hunt

I really made these predictions to say that I want Gabby Barrett to win for I Hope. I've never heard of any of these other songs, I just went through the top 10 of iTunes HAHA!

My Top Contender:
I Hope

Best Country Duo/Group Performance (or Best Country Song):
10,000 Hours by Dan + Shay & Justin Bieber
Champagne Night by Lady A
Nobody But You by Blake Shelton & Gwen Stefani
How They Remember You by Rascal Flatts
Die From a Broken Heart by Maddie & Tae

I only made these predictions because 10,000 Hours HAS TO BE NOMINATED & WIN!

My Top 3 Contenders:
10,000 Hours
Nobody But You
Die From a Broken Heart

Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song:
Still Rolling Stones by Lauren Daigle
TOGETHER by For King & Country, Kirk Franklin, & Tori Kelly
Keep Me in the Moment by Jeremy Camp
Burn The Ships by For King & Country
Waymaker by Michael W. Smith & Vanessa Campagna

THIS IS GOINGTO BE SO HARD!!!! As much as I want TOGETHER to win (I know for sure they'll be nominated), I feel like the popularity of Waymaker will out do TOGETHER which that song is a good worship song, but I'm just more into Christian songs like Still Rolling Stones & TOGETHER! That's just me though!

My Top 3 Contenders:
Still Rolling Stones
TOGETHER
Waymaker

Best Contemporary Christian Music Album:
The Lost Demos by TobyMac
Citizen of Heaven by Tauren Wells
The Story's Not Over by Jeremy Camp
Chris Tomlin & Friends by Chris Tomlin
Rescue Story by Zach Williams

I really want Tauren or Jeremy to win but the Recording Academy will pick off of popularity & tradition! Chris Tomlin is VERY mainstreamed Christian music so I feel like he's the top contender even though I don't 10000% agree with it. I guess we'll see what the Recording Academy has in mind!

My Top 3 Contenders:
Citizen of Heaven
The Story's Not Over
Chris Tomlin & Friends
