Hey guys! HAPPY MONDAY!! Today's post is all about me being the most productive I've been probably all summer. As seen above, I woke up & had the motivation to dress cute & get some coffee out for a change. Most of the time, I just make my coffee at home but today I thought I'd switch things up for a change!

As shown above (yes, I did drink quite a bit before I took this photo), I got a Iced Vanilla Latte from Coffee Waves (support your local coffee shops!) & then I drove near the Cole Park area & enjoyed my coffee!

I've been taking drives up & down Ocean Drive (in Corpus Christi, TX if you are new here that's where I'm from) to calm myself down during these super stressful times. I woke up a little earlier to get my drive out of the way & honestly, I may start going earlier more often especially this month since the heat index is RIDICULOUS in South Texas!

Now let me explain the real reason you probably are reading my blog post & wondering, "JESSICA, WHY ARE YOU CANCELLING YOUR GYM MEMBERSHIP?? I thought you liked working out?!"

I do love working out so this is not just me giving up on working out completely, for the past couple of months I've done all of my workouts strictly from home & I've gotten really comfortable with my daily workout routine that at this point in my fitness journey, I don't see myself returning back into a normal gym routine anytime soon especially because we are still in a pandemic & I'm not 100% comfortable with going to a gym at this moment.

I really am cutting back on my monthly bill to save up for other things & if I haven't used my gym membership since February & don't plan on using it for the rest of the year due to the pandemic, it only makes sense to cancel it!

I've had my gym membership since I was a senior in high school all because of one day I felt sad & wanted to be more fit & within these past almost 5 years, my outlook on working out has changed so much & for the better too! Everyday, I am a much more happier & healthier me! I always have room to improve (like craving fast food more than once a week) but I feel so energized & better about myself than I did before I got the membership & really did my research on fitness & stuff like that!

I'm going to try & make it a goal to use swimming laps at the pool as my main source of a more intense workout! Who knows if I'll have the courage to do it though, but my goal is at least twice a week go lap swimming for my daily workout! My family has a membership at a super nice private lap pool!

Well, I hope y'all have a great week! After I finish typing up this post, I'm actually going to go to the nail salon to get my gel polish taken off my finger nails because my nails are SO THIN & they have been breaking off LIKE CRAZY! I'm going to give my nails a while to rest with no polish on at all since I've just been quarantined at home plus I want to get into nail buffering treatment to prevent my nails from having this issue! I also have to write a "formal letter" to my gym into why I'm cancelling my membership.

I hope y'all have a great week & stay tuned for some exciting news coming up soon for my blog!!

Making Fall Fashion Cute in a Coastal City

Making Fall Fashion Cute in a Coastal City Hey guys! Today we will be doing a fashion themed post & today's theme is making fall fashion cute but if you live in a southern coastal city where it is still 90 degrees outside. I feel like there is not enough recognition for coastal falls, especially in fashion so today, we are going to get realistic about fall fashion while it is still 90 degrees outside. Neutrals Go with EVERYTHING! No matter if you are doing a tank top and shorts look or even a sweater with jeans (if you risk being sweaty after the fact), neutrals are a GO TO for every season but mostly for fall. Lean towards your black, white, & even like an oatmeal type of neutral colored clothing & focus on those when building your coastal fall wardrobe. How 2025 Became My Best Year Yet & 26 Goals for 2026

How 2025 Became My Best Year Yet & 26 Goals for 2026 Outfit Details: Top: Abercrombie & Fitch Shorts: Nordstrom Hey guys! I know I have been MIA from the blog for a while (most of the year actually) but I went MIA for very good reasons!  2025 has been full of blessings and amazing memories. As we start goal setting for 2026, I want to recap how 2025 became my best year yet and how going into 2026, I am feeling such a fresh mindset and this positive momentum we had in 2025 will in fact continue in 2026. I want to continue to be a positive force within not only myself but also for the people around me as well. 2025 became the year I have been longing for since I stepped into this crazy world of adulthood at 18 years old and that is, working full time in marketing/social media. Within the company I have worked for the past 2 1/2 years, this past June I switched departments from Membership/Recruitment to full on Marketing which if you have been following me for a while has been...
