Hey guys! I know I've been gone on the blog for a week but this past week has been INSANE! Anyone else agree? Before I showcase the AMAZING & FUN 3 days I had in Galveston with my family, I can't help but not ignore the topic of the Coronavirus & how devastating this is to many involved. It's terrifying what's happening & I pray this all blows away!
With everything going on, big gatherings have been cancelled or postponed! As a concert goer this has been extremely hard for me as some of my plans for some shows I was going to were changed! I was suppose to attend a show later this month & it unfortunately got postponed. It was my favorite Christian tour & a tradition my mom & I do every year. I PRAYED & PRAYED it would be ok because in times like these Jesus & worship is what I wanna lean on to but for everyone's safety, it was for the best. It's still happening in August (in between my super busy lineup) but it was perfectly normal for me to be devastated it couldn't have happened now!
I'm not going to lie, this whole Coronavirus thing is terrifying!! I especially have to take it seriously because this virus does the most serious damage to the elderly, younger children, & people with long term medical conditions & I fall into the "people with long term medical conditions" because of my heart condition!
Since I work out in the public & have 2 very public jobs, my anxiety has been going up the roof like crazy! A hour before I started writing this post, one of my jobs announced they would be closed throughout the rest of the month & we will still be receiving pay checks for our hours scheduled! I am super sad about not getting to see my co workers because I truly love that particular work environment but it's best for our health that this happened! It truly is such a blessing that the company is still paying us! GOD IS GOOD & will always be good! Let's pray & trust God through this rough time! We are going to get through this & go back to living everyday lives soon!
My heart does go out to those who aren't getting paid, high school seniors, college seniors, athletes, musicians, nursing students who are waiting to graduate on time & the people who have been testing positive for this virus. I can't even imagine what y'all are going through! I also want to say that during this time PLEASE BE RESEPCTFUL to HEB, Walmart, & other grocery store employees & DON'T BUY MASS AMOUNTS OF STUFF IF YOU DON'T NEED IT! We need to be respectful to everyone & have everyone have the same access to the supplies & food they need! Another thing too, SUPPORT LOCAL SHOPS & RESTAURANTS!!
These times do affect my content for blogging, as this is a hobby for me my blog is about the latest in fashion, music, & the adventures I go on! I share y'all concert tips, where the best deals in fashion are, & my concert experiences. Due to these times, I have to hold on to every penny possible so my opportunities to do fashion themed posts are very little & if you come on my blog for that I apologize in advanced! If you come on my blog for concert tips, stories, & experiences I will also obviously being putting those posts on hold for now till things get better. During my time off, I'll be working on getting myself stronger physically & mentally. My 30 Day workout challenge will be something I'll be working on throughout my time off & also jotting down new ideas for the blog! If I'm posting less & you are wondering why I'll be posting less, that is why!
Now on a brighter note, I've been EAGER to share y'all how much fun I had on my mini vacation to Galveston this past week to see my sister & brother in law! I'll mostly be sharing pictures from Day 2/3 of our trip! I had never been to Galveston before so I was eager to check it out! In the morning, we went to the Galveston Pleasure Pier & I had a BLAST! We got to ride several rides like the ferris wheel, a swing ride, & much more! I've always loved amusement park rides ever since I was a child. Of course, I had to be cautious because of my heart but for what I can do I really make the most of it! After we went to the Pier, we went to Fish Tales across the street & ate yummy seafood & drank amazing margaritas! We rented a Airbnb beach house for the night in Jamaica Beach which is outside of Galveston but still on the island & I FELL IN LOVE with this house! If I had a beach house it would be this one! We were by a canal so we weren't looking the beach but I loved how it was a small community & the house was GORGEOUS! It was so family friendly & ugh TAKE ME BACK!! I would so rent that house again! Down below, I'll be sharing pics from the trip & I hope y'all stay safe & take care of yourselves during this difficult time!
