Grammys 2021 Submissions Reactions (So Far)

I know Shawn didn't submit anything this year, I just am super excited about his new album Wonder coming out on December 4 (Shawn will come for the Grammys in 2022 just saying).

Hey guys! Today's post is going to be all about the Grammys (honestly, you shouldn't be shocked at this point)! Submissions are slowly but surely starting to leak & today, I'm going to be reacting to all of the submissions I'm seeing mostly from people on Twitter & I'm going to tell y'all how I feel about them. If you are new here, I recently put out my personal & official Grammys 2021 Predictions which have gone over so well & have continued to get new viewers in here daily so THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THAT! Click here to check out my Grammys 2021 predictions!

These aren't going to be EVERY single submission! These are only going to be from artists that I predicted would be nominated in my predictions & maybe a few other well known artists! I am getting all of this information from Twitter accounts so some of this may not be 100% true but most likely from doing my research these will be true! If I left any submissions out or forgot to include a submission for the artists I mention, ALWAYS LET ME KNOW! We are still finding out submissions & I may post my thoughts on those because I'm still waiting to hear on submissions from some of my favorite artists!

Harry Styles

Fine Line - Album of the Year & Best Pop Vocal Album

Adore You - Song of the Year, Record of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, & Best Music Video

Watermelon Sugar - Best Pop Solo Performance

This is pretty much what I expected for Harry's team to submit & definitely I think he will receive nominations for his Fine Line & Adore You submissions. I'm glad his team really pushed for Adore You to be nominated for bigger categories because in my opinion, Adore You is a MASTERPIECE! Watermelon Sugar is a fun summer song & I know it got a lot of commercial & radio success but I'm just really glad they mostly submitted Adore You. I think they almost had to submit Watermelon Sugar just from popularity alone but I think Adore You will be nominated over Watermelon Sugar. I totally forgot in my predictions post to predict Best Music Video because I was super unsure what to even predict but I'm glad Harry submitted Adore You for that category! I'm mostly pumped for this year's Grammys because Harry has a super high chance of being nominated! I think I'll cry if Harry gets nominated & wins. I'm such a proud Harry Styles stan.

Heartless - Best R&B Song & Best R&B Performance

In Your Eyes (feat. Doja Cat) - Best Pop Duo/Group Performance

Smile (Juice WRLD's song) - Best Melodic Rap Performance

Over Now (Calvin Harris' song) - Best Pop Duo/Group Performance

I was super unsure when I was doing my predictions whether The Weeknd was going to mostly submit under pop or R&B but I'm glad his team found a good balance between the two. I think definitely he will be nominated for all of his After Houts, Blinding Lights, & Heartless submissions. I really was wanting The Weeknd to submit Scared to Live because I LOVE that song & his vocals sound AMAZING in it but maybe he'll perform it at the ceremony to make up for it because Lord knows we need yet ANOTHER Blinding Lights award show performance with the band aid on his nose. I'm kind of annoyed he submitted the Doja Cat version of In Your Eyes because I'm not personally a huge fan of that version I love the original version WAY BETTER. I definitely think he has a good chance of getting a Smile nomination but stay tuned for Juice WRLD's submissions...

So this one may not be 100% accurate considering I only saw one tweet about it. I feel like his team is going to submit a lot more for him in my opinion & I will be leaving the comments section opened if I left any submissions out & y'all are more than welcome to tell me. I was hoping he'd submit Come & Go for the dance category or maybe even for pop. I really hope Legends Never Die gets nominated for both of his submissions, I feel like he'll maybe only be nominated for rap album considering there's already so much competition for the main album award.

Rain On Me - Record of the Year, Song of the Year,  Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, & Best Music Video

Chromatica - Album of the Year & Best Pop Vocal Album

Stupid Love - Best Pop Solo Performance

These submissions seem about right! I definitely think Rain On Me & Chromatica will be nominated for all of their submissions. I definitely think Rain On Me has a high chance of winning Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. I'll be very shocked if it doesn't win that award.

Chloe x Halle

Ungodly Hour (the album) - Album of the Year (possibly also Best Progressive R&B Album as well)

Do It - Record of the Year, Song of the Year, R&B Song, & R&B Performance

Wonder What She Thinks Of Me - Traditional R&B Performance

Everything they submitted sounded about right! On Gold Derby, I saw Ungodly Hour may have been submitted for the Progressive R&B Album category. I know they made changes to that category but I'm still super unsure whether the Progressive R&B category is going to be like. I would not be surprised at all if Do It got nominated for Record or Song, probably not both but for sure I think at least one of those! I really hope Ungodly Hour as an album gets nominated! It's a super good album! 

Selena Gomez

Lose You To Love Me - Record of the Year, Song of the Year, & Best Pop Solo Performance

Rare (Deluxe) - Best Pop Vocal Album & Album of the Year

Ice Cream - Song of the Year, Record of the Year, & Best Pop Duo/Group Performance

I REALLY think Selena may have a chance at being nominated this year especially for Lose You To Love Me! I'm 1000% here for that song getting nominated for honestly either category that she submitted it for. I think there's a ton of competition especially in the pop categories so Rare maybe highly considered but I think other people have higher chances not saying Rare wasn't a good album because it was! I'm surprised Ice Cream even got submitted to be honest for those big categories. Again, I think there's a ton of competition this year & honestly, I'm not a die hard K Pop fan but I could see BTS getting nominated before BLACKPINK (I think BLACKPINK got submitted for Best New Artist which I think they will for sure get nominated for that based on their popularity).

Dynamite - Record of the Year, Best Pop Duo Group/Performance, & Best Music Video

Speaking of BTS, I've recently accepted the fact they are super fascinating to watch & lowkey Dynamite is a BOP! I think for sure Dynamite will be nominated for something. It would be super cool if they won an award considering the fact I don't think any K Pop has won a Grammy (that I know of). 

Miley Cyrus

Midnight Sky - Record of the Year, Song of the Year, & Best Pop Solo Performance

Don't Call Me Angel (with Ariana & Lana) - Best Song Written For Visual Media

I'm super excited Miley submitted Midnight Sky because that song is MY JAM right now!! I would be super excited for Miley if she got nominated for this song!

You Don't Own Me (with Kristin Chenowith) - Best Pop Duo/Group Performance

Let's face it guys, Ariana got ROBBED at the 2020 awards. Thank U Next deserved at least one Grammy! I love Ariana that's my freaking girl so I really hope she wins at least one award this year. I think for sure she will be nominated (especially for Rain On Me). I just want the absolute best for her!

I love Justin, I truly do! Competition is CRAZY this year & personally in my opinion I see him being nominated more for Best Pop Duo/Group for Intentions, Stuck With U, or maybe even both. Justin I think will get a nomination but I think it's going to be more for that category!

Un Dia (One Day) - Record of the Year, Song of the Year, & Best Pop Duo/Group Performance

I would like to personally thank Dua Lipa's Future Nostalgia album for getting me through Quarantine. I love you Dua Lipa for that! I truly love this album so much & I really hope it gets nominated for Album of the Year because it truly deserves the nomination. Let's be real though, I'm kind of sad Dua didn't submited Physical because I love that song! Don't Start Now is not the best off of the album but I know it had the most commercial success so it makes sense why they submitted that song. JUSTICE FOR PHYSICAL!!! 

Taylor Swift

Folklore - Album of the Year & Best Pop Vocal Album

Exile - Best Pop Duo/Group Performance

Betty - Best Country Song & Country Solo Performance

Cardigan - Song of the Year, Record of the Year, Pop Solo Performance, & Best Music Video

There's no doubt that Taylor won't be in the leading for the most nominations. I predict Taylor, Harry, & Gaga will get the most nominations! I totally forgot when I did my predictions to include Betty in the country category because I was campaigning so hard for I Hope by Gabby Barrett (I still am) but now that Betty is in the picture I think Betty has a super high chance of being nominated & winning! There's a ton of competition this year but I think I'm sure on the fact Taylor will win at least one award if not more!
