Iconic Songs that are Turning 10 YEARS OLD in 2021!!!

Hello guys! Happy 2021! Also, Happy 10 Year Anniversary to the year 2011. I was indeed a very awkward 7th grader who loved Glee (way too much) & had a massive crush on Drake (still do). 2011 was certainly an awkward year for me but in music, it was the most iconic thing ever. Today, I'm going to list some iconic songs that are turning double digits this year & why they are still so iconic to this day!

Who didn't get in the feels over this song? At this age, I had never experienced heartbreak but damn Bruno Mars really did something with this song that had 14 year old me sobbing over a heartbreak that never existed. 

Best Friend's Brother by Victoria Justice

Talk about a freaking classic. I was OBSESSED with Victorious in 2011 & 2011 was the start of my Ariana Grande obsession that's still thriving. Don't discount Victoria though. I think we ALL think this song is the most iconic thing ever (I had to quote that very outdated meme HAHA)!

You Da One by Rihanna

This is my all time favorite Rihanna song to this day! I actually jammed to this as I was getting ready for the day this morning. It just simply gets better & better every time I hear it.

What Makes You Beautiful by One Direction

The fact this song is turning 10 years old this year straight up makes me so emotional. I love One Direction so much (please come back even though y'all probably aren't unfortunately).

Love On Top by Beyonce

This song truly means a lot to me. Back in 2018, my sister & brother in law got married & I was in charge of the slideshow. Love On Top was one of the songs on the slideshow & I loved the song so much before but now it just makes me think of their special day & it warms my heart!

You & I by Lady Gaga

This is my favorite song from Lady Gaga's Born This Way album & every time it comes on, I have to BELT EVERY SINGLE WORD AT THE TOP OF MY LUNGS!!!

You're My Only Shorty by Demi Lovato & Iyaz

True Love by Destinee & Paris

It's about time I mentioned a Drake song from my all time Drake album Take Care (that's also turning 10 years old which is still crazy to me)! I could talk about every song on this album in this post, but we've got other songs to talk about. Enough about how much I love Drake!

Paradise by Coldplay

This is my all time favorite Coldplay song to this day & I would do literally anything to hear this song live someday because I feel like that'd be a super magical experience (I'd probably sob)!

I Want by One Direction

When I bought the Up All Night album, I Want was the first song I truly fell madly in love with. If I could marry a song, this song would be it. 

Hold It Against Me by Britney Spears

I love Britney Spears so much & this entire Femme Fatale era is just straight up so freaking iconic in every way, shape, & form! Britney DID THAT in 2011!

On The Floor by Jennifer Lopez & Pitbull

I've seen Pitbull twice (2015 & 2017) & I'm not even kidding when I say this, ON THE FLOOR IS SO MUCH FUN LIVE! Now I just need to cross seeing JLo perform it off of my bucket list. 

You Need Me, I Don't Need You by Ed Sheeran

This song is definitely a top 10 Ed Sheeran song for me & it's also out of this freaking world live. I will not tolerate Ed Sheeran slander, especially since this song exists. Happy 10 Year Anniversary to this gem!
