I Give This Christian Concert A Solid 20/20
Hey guys! I FINALLY attended my first concert of 2020 & it definitely was an amazing way to kick off my 2020 concert lineup! I attended the very first night of MercyMe & Jeremy Camp's 20/20 Tour (now the title makes sense right?)! I've seen MercyMe 4 times & Jeremy Camp 3 times & this time around was definitely on the top 10 of my favorite Christian concert experiences!
My mom & I got 4th row tickets for such an affordable price that we could not turn down! I've never been THAT close at a Christian concert & I'll show y'all some pictures below but our seats were TOP NOTCH & everything seemed THAT much more personal & made the experience one I'll never forget!
So those are just a few pictures that I got from the show but the view was like I said before, TOP NOTCH! Not only were my seats a great experience but the atmosphere of the crowd around me was so uplifting & we did a lot of dancing! Usually at Christian shows or at least in my city (I've gone to other Christian shows out of town & it's definitely different) a lot of people tend to sit down the whole show or when they hear one note of a piano they assume a slow song is about to come on & everyone starts sitting down! I've gone to so many shows & personally for me I love to stand up the whole show & dance & when everyone around me has the same energy I do it's a great feeling! I even heard in the higher seats that people had amazing energy so that was AMAZING that God moved that many people & it was such a uplifting spiritual night for EVERYONE!
Jeremy Camp was the opening act (there was one other opening act which I don't remember his name but he also did a great job) & Jeremy never fails to make me smile & cry! My mom is a huge Jeremy Camp fan so seeing her so happy over seeing him every time brings me such personal joy! I love going to Christian shows with my mom for that reason alone!
Then MercyMe came on & I've seen MercyMe 3 other times & I love the energy they bring to their shows! This time around it was different because for a good portion of the show they went completely unplugged & performed some of their biggest hits which was super cool & it brought out a different experience for me personally!
I went to a unplugged Christian show just back in November & it was such a cool experience because I am so use to the traditional you have a band & extra music plays in the background that having something be completely authentic & acoustic is super cool to have for a change! I told my mom after their unplugged set how amazing of an idea that was for them to do that!
Everyone's energy in the audience still is the same & in the wise words of Bart, "just because I'm sitting doesn't mean you have to! Get up & dance!"
Both Jeremy Camp & MercyMe's setlists were SO GOOD TOO! It had a good mix of older & newer songs which I found super cool because both artists have so many albums full of such good songs! I bet it's hard for them to make their setlist at times to be honest!
Overall, if you love Christian music I highly recommend catching this tour! Also, go see I Still Believe in theaters March 13 which is based off of a story Jeremy Camp wants to share in the world! It stars KJ Apa from Riverdale & Bart from MercyMe says it's a MUST SEE! Down below, I have a picture of me admiring KJ Apa! I hope y'all have a blessed weekend!
