Billboard Music Awards Nomination Predictions 2020

Hey guys!! HAPPY FRIDAY!! I was super unsure what today's post was going to be about until I heard some news today... THE BILLBOARD MUSIC AWARDS FOR 2020 ARE FOR SURE HAPPENING ON OCTOBER 14, 2020!! I personally really enjoy watching the Billboard's every year! Someday (hopefully 2021), I can finally attend the Billboard's in VEGAS!! 

I have NO IDEA when actual nominations will be out or what kind of music will be eligible for this year! Typically, the Billboard's celebrates music from the past year but considering the times we are in, I'm not super positive how they are going to work it! 2019 seems like CENTURIES ago!! I really hope they do 2019 & 2020 music which most likely that's what they are going to do!

My predictions will be based off of last year's awards, the current Billboard charts, & even some of the VMAs nominees!! The Billboards are fan voted so I will also pay attention to what fan bases will dominate which award!

These are NOT the official nominations! 

These are just my opinions & predictions!

Billboard will definitely have other ideas in mind & I won't 100% agree to every prediction I make!

These 2 posts really prove how DIFFERENT my predictions were but let's be real, I think we were all taken back by how different the VMAs nominations ended up being HAHA! Hopefully, Billboard's won't be the same way!

Billboard Music Awards Nomination Predictions 2020

Note: I will not be predicting EVERY category because this post would be a million years long if I did that & keep in mind a bunch of the past categories have been "top tour" categories & since concerts have unfortunately been out of the picture for 2020 they may replace some of those with Quarantine/At Home categories very similar to how the VMAs did! I will still predict some "top tour" categories just in case!!

I pretty much chose these artists to be on predictions considering the big years they all have! Drake won the award last year so it made sense to put him on here plus Drake tends to win Billboards & AMAs like crazy! There were so many other artists I could have put on here so this was difficult!!

All of these artists have had HUGE breakout years & have charted high on the Billboard charts throughout the past year! I really think for most of these new artists categories that are going to happen at award shows this year it'll be either Doja or Megan that'll win! I don't know which fanbase is the strongest though when it comes to award show voting so I guess we will find out!

I based these predictions off of how long a certain artist has been on the charts for 2019/2020! I know some fans are SUPER into how long a song is on the charts but going through all of that would have been A LOT so I based this off of last year's year end charts & how many weeks consecutively a artist's song has charted! I think, Lil Nas X has this nomination & win in the bag considering he broke records with Old Town Road but it is fan voted so who knows!

Again, I based these off mostly how high they have charted, popularity, & yes, I did include Drake in this list because he won big last year (I love you Drake)! Really, I can see any of these artists being nominated & winning! I have a feeling Lil Nas X is going to get a lot of nominations because of him breaking Billboard records in 2019 but honestly, considering these awards are so late in the year it could be possible that Billboard forgets about 2019 all together!

Like the male artist category, I chose the female artist category the exact same way! All of these artists had huge success in either 2019, 2020, or both! I based these predictions off of both 2019 & 2020 but again, I have no idea what Billboard's will have in mind!

I based these predictions off of what's currently trending in streams on the Spotify Global Top 50! I have no idea how Billboard chooses nominees for this category whether it's through Spotify, Apple Music, or even Pandora (LOL)!

I based these predictions off of popularity & consistency for the Billboards! They always have KPOP, Pop, & Country groups! Personally, I would LOVE if the Jonas Brothers won because their comeback was LEGENDARY for 2019/2020 but BTS fans don't mess around & with it being fan voted, BTS will for sure win if nominated!

I based these predictions off of last year's overall Top 200 charts & the current Top 200 charts for this week! I can easily see any of these people get nominated & win but it's really going to be up to if Billboard is basing these nominations off of 2019 or both 2019 & 2020!

My predictions for this category are based off of the current iTunes charts! If the Billboard's bases it off of both 2019 & 2020, my predictions will be WAY WAY OFF! I literally don't even remember what was charting on the iTunes charts for 2019 so that's why I left 2019 out of my predictions!

Yes, I did see every one of these tours in 2019 & that's what I based my predictions off of! I think I went to some of the biggest tours of the last year anyways so if they do this category, I wouldn't be surprised if some of these tours are included! Who I am predicting will most likely get nominated & win are based off of the concert vlogs I've seen of who I saw travelling to the most shows for each tour! I LOVED every single one of these tours in their own special ways & I can't choose a favorite for myself personally.. IT'S TOO HARD!!
